Sunday Responsibilities:

1. Arrive about 30 minutes before service. Supplies are in the Worship & Music Office. If there is a baptism or Brief Order of Confession, place warm water in the basin of the baptismal font. Fill the ewer on the baptismal font. The pitcher on the altar should also be filled with warm water.

2. If there is no bread on counter or a note that someone is bringing bread, remove bread from freezer in kitchen. Thaw in the microwave oven in the chapel area on High for 1 minute.

3. Pre-fill four or five glasses with grape juice in the top 2-3 trays. Grape juice is in the refrigerator in the kitchen. Fill four or five trays with empty glasses, place on credence table with both chalices covered with palls. Fill flagon with wine and place on offertory table with bread on paten.

4. Place basket to collect used glasses with two paper towels on the credence table.

5. After the service discard used communion glasses. The wine in the pouring chalice and flagon is returned to the bottle. If any wine remains in the common cup it is consumed or poured on the ground. Only unbroken bread is re-frozen. Wash chalices and paten and flagon in warm soapy water.

6. Place all used communion linen in the basket in the sacristy cupboard for laundering.

7. Pour out water from the basin of the baptismal font and dry the basin and ewer completely. Empty the bowl and pitcher from the altar. Wash thoroughly and wipe dry.
