Visiting: This team calls and visits people who are celebrating significant events in their lives or who are ill. The team also welcomes and befriends new members.

Fellowship: This group organizes social functions for the congregation so people get to know one another.

Church in Society: This advocacy group supports various service ministries and provides educational forums and service opportunities to help the poor und underprivileged.

Education: This committee promotes Christian education through Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, confirmation ministry and adult bible study.

Stewardship: This committee assists with the budget and encourages support of the congregation through pledges of time, talents and treasures.

Property & Management: This committee is responsible for keeping the church building clean and in good repair.

Mutual Ministry: This group supports staff, reviews working relationships and resolves conflicts.

Worship Planning Team: This team determines the directions for worship, plans and implements the worship services.

Altar Guild: This group cares for the altar and all worship appointments and sets up and prepares the bread and wine for Holy Communion.

Bible Study Group: Bible study groups gather as announced in monthly calendar.

Trinity Food Pantry: This food bank operating out of Trinity Lutheran Church is a major project of Christ Lutheran Church -- providing food, funds and volunteers. A noon meal cooked at Luther Home is served on the Tuesday before social assistance checks arrive. Hampers are given to families in need of food support.

Christ Lutheran Youth Group: This group is open to all teens grade seven to twelve. See the Youth page for more information.

Choir: This group meets on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings and is led by music director Nancy Turnbull.

Inkster Seniors: Seniors meet Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. from September - June for programs that include games, exercise, music, speakers, entertainment and outings.

Luther Home: Luther Home was build and is operated by Christ Lutheran Church. The Home provides personal care to 80 residents, houses about 100 elderly and disabled persons in two apartment blocks and six residents in a home for community living.

Community Organizations:

North End Sponsorship Team: N.E.S.T. is a co-operative ministry to sponsor refugees. Christ Church works with five Lutheran and two United Church congregations and has sponsored refugees from Afghanistan, Bosnia, Viet Nam, Ethiopia, Iran, Kosova, Nigeria, Somalia and Sudan. Beavers, Scouts, Cubs: These youth programs are growing with companies of Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts. The congregation hosts an annual church parade and promotes Religion in Life instruction.  

Alcoholics Anonymous & AlAnon:  AA meets Mondays and Thursdays at 8 pm. AlAnon meets Thursdays 10 am.
